Coaching
philosophy...

Coaching isn’t just about skills, it’s about people building capacity and the connections you build along the way.

Work with Job

It starts with people, not programs

When players feel understood, supported, and safe to be themselves, performance naturally follows. The focus is always on the person before the player.

Progress happens
when there’s trust

Real growth comes from connection not technique. Coaching works best when players are part of the process, not just following it.

Structure brings freedom

A clear plan removes the guesswork and creates space to learn, adapt, and grow. Consistency builds confidence, one session at a time.

Coaching adapts not the other way around

Every environment is different, and great coaching meets people where they’re at. Age, ability, culture it all matters.

Trusted by Players, Parents & Programs

“Job has a unique ability to connect with players on a personal level while still driving high performance. He helped our program shift from just ‘running sessions’ to building an environment where players felt seen, challenged, and supported. His calm leadership and fresh perspective had a real impact across the board.”

“Our son had lost his confidence after missing a state squad. Within a few sessions with Job, he looked like himself again. The coaching wasn’t just technical — it was thoughtful, structured, and tailored to how he was feeling. He left every session clearer, calmer, and more motivated.”

“As a young player, I’d been through a few coaches but none made it feel this personal. Job helped me understand how to manage my mindset, work with my strengths, and simplify my game. I’ve grown more in six months than I did in the past two years.”

My Coaching Story

From grassroots to the global stage, these are the experiences that have shaped how I coach, lead, and connect with people.

Where It All Began

In 2007, I launched the first private cricket school in the Netherlands. It was a leap into the unknown and it laid the foundation for everything I now believe about player development, coaching relationships, and being innovative.

Playing & Coaching in South Africa

My dream was always to play overseas, and South Africa gave me that three seasons immersed in a totally different cricket culture. It challenged me, shaped my thinking, and kickstarted my coaching journey at the Ryan Maron Cricket School of Excellence.

WA Cricket &
High Performance

Joining WA Cricket in 2010 was a turning point. From fielding coach to Head Coach of the female State Team (Western Fury), then leading both female and male pathway programs I spent over a decade helping shape the next generation of elite cricketers and coaches across Western Australia.

Designing Regional Academies

One of my proudest achievements was leading WA’s regional academy system. We created opportunities for players in remote areas to grow locally and some of those players are now part of national talent squads.

Coaching on
the Global Stage

From Malaysia U19s to the Australian Deaf & Hard of Hearing Team to the, I’ve been fortunate to coach in all kinds of environments. I love working across cultures and adapting to different mindsets it keeps me learning.

Relationships First, Always

Across every role, the thing that’s mattered most is connection. Whether it’s a 13-year-old finding confidence or a national team preparing for a World Cup, I coach with the same goal: build trust, listen more, and help people grow.
