Hi I’m Job!
I help players, coaches and programs grow through purpose-driven coaching, deep connection, and a calm, people-first approach
I’ve spent my life in cricket from my first game in the Netherlands at six years old to high-performance roles across the world.

From Grassroots to Global Coaching

I grew up playing in the Netherlands, but it wasn’t long before I was chasing opportunities abroad, touring in England, playing in South Africa and associate countries, starting my first cricket school, and eventually moving to Perth to join WA Cricket (WACA). Over time, I’ve coached in male and female pathways, national teams, state teams, private academies, school and diversity programs, each experience shaping how I work with people, lead environments, and build lasting impact.
From Grassroots to Global Coaching

I’ve always believed in the long game. In staying calm. In listening before speaking. Whether I’m working with a young player coming back from a form slump or helping an organisation redesign its program from the ground up, my goal is the same: help people unlock what’s already inside them.
Coaching is my way of offering value to individuals, to teams, and to the game itself. It’s a way to build something bigger than me. To challenge the norm. To leave people better than I found them.
My Story

I’ve played Premier Cricket in different countries for nearly two decades, coached national, state and school teams, and worked across cultures but what I remember, and cherish most are the relationships. A quiet breakthrough. A kid who didn’t believe in themselves until they did. The moment trust replaces tension.
I started out coaching fielding drills, not chasing titles and that’s still how I approach it today. Honest work. Real connection. A deep care for people.
My Journey in Six Moments
Where It All Began
In 2007, I launched the first private cricket school in the Netherlands. It was a leap into the unknown and it laid the foundation for everything I now believe about player development, coaching relationships, and being innovative.
Playing & Coaching in South Africa
My dream was always to play overseas, and South Africa gave me that three seasons immersed in a totally different cricket culture. It challenged me, shaped my thinking, and kickstarted my coaching journey at the Ryan Maron Cricket School of Excellence
WA Cricket & High Performance Pathways
Joining WA Cricket in 2010 was a turning point. From fielding coach to Head Coach of the female State Team (Western Fury), then leading both female and male pathway programs I spent over a decade helping shape the next generation of elite cricketers.
Designing Regional Academies
One of my proudest achievements was helping build WA’s regional academy system. We created opportunities for players in remote areas to grow locally and some of those players are now part of national talent squads.
Coaching on the Global Stage
From Malaysia U19s to the Australian Deaf & Hard of Hearing Team to the, I’ve been fortunate to coach in all kinds of environments. I love working across cultures and adapting to different mindsets it keeps me learning.
Relationships First, Always
Across every role, the thing that’s mattered most is connection. Whether it’s a 13-year-old finding confidence or a national team preparing for a World Cup, I coach with the same goal: build trust, listen more, and help people grow.
